Opening Plenary Session
The Opening Plenary Session sets the tone and scope for the remainder of the conference. The theme, "An Ocean in Common", will be considered by the speakers from their own perspectives of academia, industry, defense, and conservation. The importance of the Plenary is noted by the absence of any competing technical or scientific session in parallel, and that the Exhibit Hall remains closed until the conclusion of the Plenary. The Plenary is open to the public, free of charge. Guests from the local community are welcome. All conference registrants and exhibitors are highly encouraged to attend.
